Niinami 我們在這裡 è un progetto iniziato nel 2013 dalla collaborazione con Labay(林介文). Inizialmente concepito come un breve documentario sull’opera Eluz Tminun, da subito abbiamo avuto la sensazione che il materiale girato aveva delle ottime potenzialità per diventare un documentario, che non solo fosse focalizzata sull’opera d’arte e il suo processo di lavoro, ma su gran parte dei processi storici sociali e culturali della tribù Seddiq Truku. Nelle fasi iniziali del processo di produzione abbiamo concentrato l’attenzione sulla tessitura tradizionale, scoprendo quanto questa fosse fortemente connessa con la cultura e i suoi simboli; attraverso questa indagine, tramite l’intervista a personaggi che hanno vissuto in prima persona gli eventi eventi, abbiamo risalito i fatti storici che hanno coinvolto i Truku durante l’occupazione Giapponese e cioè la deportazione dai luoghi insediativi d’origine tra le montagne dell’attuale parco nazionale verso le zone costiere e pianeggianti della costa orientale taiwanese. Tale processo ci ha permesso di produrre due Trailer. Dopo un periodo di gestazione siamo in fase di continuazione del progetto con nuovo materiale girato in parte anche in europa per approfondire la singolare figura di un prete missionario Padre Pecoraro Italo-francese, che ha convertito al cattolicesimo, tra la fine degli anni 50 e l’inizio dei 70 gran parte della popolazione Truku, vivendo con loro e condividendo gioie e dolori. Attualmente, stiamo concentrando l’attenzione sulle questioni sociali della società nei vari villaggi, dove una più accurata indagine ci ha fatto soffermare su un’altro elemento fondamentale legata all’uomo indigeno e alla sua identità: la caccia.

Niinami 我們在這裡 is a project started in 2013 in the collaboration with Labay (林介文). Initially minded like a short documentary for Eluz Tminun art-work, we immediately had feeling that material shoted had excellent potential to become a real documentary, focused  on historical, social and cultural processes of the Seddiq Truku tribe. In the early stages of the production process we focused our attention on traditional weaving, discovering how strongly it was connected with culture and symbols;  through interviews with Truku elders, we have traced the historical facts that involved the Truku during the Japanese occupation and that is the deportation from the places of origin located in to the mountains of the present national park towards the east coast and flat areas of the Taiwan. This process allowed us to produce 2 Trailer. After a few mounts break ,we are in the process to continuing the project with new material filmed also in Europe for describe the singular figure of Ferdinando Pecoraro, an Italo-French missionary priest, who converted to Catholicism, most of the Truku population. He was living with them for almost twenty years,  sharing joys and sorrows. Currently, we are focusing attention on the social issues of society in the various villages, where a more accurate investigation has made us dwell on another fundamental element linked to the indigenous man and his identity: hunting.

現代的年輕人們張望著其他的國家，其他的文化，去了遠方。最後才瞭解一直在尋找的其實就在自己的家鄉，自己的衣櫃裡。

在巴布馬利的一首歌裡，歌詞這樣寫到“有大半的歷史從不被提起”。某些歷史有著家喻戶曉的命運，而有的卻像回音一般消失的無聲無息。這個故事找到了我們，向我們道來一個遙遠的部落，一個即將要消失的種族文化。這是一個關於Truku人的故事，他們自由的在台灣山林裡的回憶，他們的苦難和希望。這個故事找到了我們，讓它不要在記憶裡被遺忘。

延著Truku女性織出的線去尋找，過程中我們看見、發現、體會許許多多的故事，那些真實而深刻的故事。Truku的女性們，在這片土地上追求著古老的智慧，用編織實踐自己的價值，我們想讓大家看見，那一雙雙捧著Ubung、織著Qabang的手，經過時代變遷，遷離山林，即使已發黃起皺，仍然織著；即使傳統已被消費取代，仍然織著；即使部落山谷間早已不在迴盪著織布的”咚咚”聲，仍然織著。這是關於她們的故事，用自我實現價值述說著”我們在這裡
